The waiter didn't feel like it and the cappuccino was an instant product. We didn't feel well at all and preferred to move on.

The food is good, but a little too expensive for what is on offer (especially the drinks). The two stars are there because of the service. It was given the feeling that one was disturbing. Also, while we were sitting there, people were sent away to take advantage of the cake offer, as there were only places for customers who order lunch.

In the best weather we should go inside because we only wanted to have a drink. There was still enough space. Service very unfriendly

Rudely pointed out that in the outside area you can only eat, you should go in to drink, although there were enough seats, too bad, you probably don't need it!

We were there 2 nights. Very friendly staff, rooms very clean, but very simply furnished. A little loveless. There were 3 small bottles of water free of charge in the room. The bed was comfortable but wobbly when my husband turned around. The breakfast was very good. Nicely presented and plentiful. However, a bit too hard baked rolls.

We were there with our family (10 people) for dinner. All family members loved the food. Everything fresh and plentiful. The service was polite and always in a good mood. So we ordered a table there the second evening and didn't regret it.

We ordered 4 drinks, but we were served 5 drinks and we should also pay for the 5th ... because of the misunderstanding from the waiter. You can only pay with the card from 25 euros, so we would have to pay our bill of 22 euros in cash. Our festive mood was pretty spoiled.

First class

Delicious food in the center of Bacharach. Outside, the traffic is not quite as nice, but the interior is well equipped, so you can eat better here. There is a wide selection of food, drinks and desserts / cakes. The tarte flambée are big and very tasty, the Federweisser as well. The meatloaf is a very large, but tasty portion. The master of the house was very sympathetic, the service by the waiter was not so friendly, but okay.

Myself and my partner stopped for a few hours in beautiful Bacharach and had THE BEST Wiener Schnitzel we have ever had for lunch at Hotel Burg-Stahleck, sat outside enjoying the Sunday sun. The schnitzel was so tender and juicy , and perfectly complemented by a large delicious tasty dressed salad and chips (fries). So so good. Friendly and efficient staff and lovely local wine too. Highly recommended.

Good food right in the middle of town.

Rooms are clean and airy. Plenty of room. Breakfast is great! Meat, cheese, yogurt, fruit, coffee, toast. The owner was very kind giving us food for breakfast for our travels bc we had to leave before breakfast. Overall great place to stay!

We decided to stop here for lunch while wandering Bacharach. There was an English menu available and a decent amount of options. It took a little while for the food but there was only one waiter and it didn't seem like there were many people in the kitchen. I was pleased with the service and the food. I think there were enough options to appeal to a variety of tastes. The establishment appeared clean. I really enjoyed my dish, listed under the appetizers, which was the cambert cheese with part of a pear and cranberries, served with toast and a mini salad.

Great, nice restaurant. There are dishes that you do not get everywhere. Highly recommended: The pig's dinner plate, just great. Very good price / performance ratio. Come back very happy. In the warm season you can sit outside.

Good food, lots of choice. Delicious pizzas and ice creams! Nice situation just off the market square. Would happily return if we are in the area again!

The service was appalling. We wanted a coffee and cake and saw the menu was in English so decided to stop here. When i asked the waiter for coffee, he only spoke on German and pretty much refused to serve us, so I tried to asked in German and he walked away. Instead he allowed a pregnant customer to translate for us going back and forward to him, what an embarrassment. If they have the menu in English, they should be able to understand English. However, when it came to paying, the waiter suddenly knew how to speak English to tell us how much to pay.

It was really clean and comfortable. Awesome after hiking.

Nice little place with outside seats. Good to stop by when you're visiting around. I got a Spaghetti Boulognese which was pretty nice, especially as I needed carbs to continue cycling. Attention and service was very good.

The location is amazing, and our room had a lovely view. The staff is super friendly. The breakfast was nice.

Top Location!

Our overnight stay on a Saturday began with our early arrival. The owner was ready to receive us and helped us unload our car and gave us directions to a parking spot about 400m away. We were given a room early at which was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean, well-appointed and had all the necessities except for AC (it was a hot day). The breakfast was delicious and typical of European breakfasts. The location just across from the 6th century ruins of a chapel and the current church are dramatic and wonderful. I recommend this hotel to couples and families.

Great family room #3. Loved the sounds of running water outside the windows at night. Great breakfast in the morning. Perfect location and free parking in walking distance.

Hotel Stahleck is conveniently located in Bacharach, one of the most enchanting Rhein towns with many of its medieval buildings still intact. Hotel Stahleck upgraded our room, but charged us less than the online booking (we booked online through an online booking company, which was silly, we should have booked directly) because "it wasn't the weekend." They were so friendly and the storybook views of the church from our room were an unexpected delight.

The location is very close to the pier, the room is clean, the breakfast is full, the boss is very kind!

It's location above the village of Bacharach is worth the climb. The Panoramic view of the Rhine and vineyards are breath taking.

Lunch was enjoyable!

Despite many of their customers speaking English, the staff only seems to speak German. Almost impossible to get a glass of tap water with you beer and food. My opinion is that they just want to sell you the overpriced 'mineral water'. Expensive if you are on a bike tour.
